The professional Artists in Residence of the GRAMMY-nominated South Dakota Chorale contribute to the depth of experience for the Conducting Fellows and Young Artists. The Artists in Residence bring an incredible wealth of performance history and varied career paths as professional opera singers, professional choristers, consort musicians, and university voice teachers. Artists in Residence have sung with Handel & Haydn Society, Carmel Bach Festival, Seraphic Fire, South Dakota Chorale, Houston Chamber Choir, Kinnara Ensemble, Schola Antiqua of Chicago, Dallas Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre, Opera Southwest, and many more.

In addition to coaching to Young Artists on solo and small ensemble repertoire for the Young Artist Recital, the Artists in Residence sing side-by-side with Young Artists in the masterclass rehearsals to collaboratively teach professional ensemble singing skills first hand.
